Father's Day!

So this is the card that Ryan designed and created all by himself for his dad for Father's Day. I think he did a great job. I just supervised and made sure he didn't hurt himself using the crop-o-dile to punch holes ... but he did everything else himself. Stinkin' cute!

... Really?

I'm sooooo far from being where I want to be right now. Every day I think of blogging and I then I think about how hard it is to get on the internet in my current living conditions and I just want to scream. I'm job hunting right now and I know I'm not alone in that but it sucks! I'm looking forward to seeing Samantha this weekend and getting some stuff done. Maybe that will mean I will have something to post!!!

Hellllllooooooo

So I've been in hiding for a while trying to catch my breath and recover from the recent events. Life is coming back around and balancing out. I'm working on some super cute scrap pages for my Maui trip I took with my mom last April ... I better get a move on for that stuff. Baseball is in full swing for Ryan and that is taking a lot of my time but it's so fun. Just when I feel caught up something new gets added to the calendar. My goal is to get some projects posted on Wednesday but I'm not committing to anything. :)

Easy Stationary Gift

So I used a Simply Scrappin' kit to put this together. It took me all of about 45 minutes to do this so it was stinkin' easy ... so easy anyone can do it! I used the Summer themed one and a couple of stamps from the Simply Said stamp set and a little miscellaneous hardware. I think this would make a really nice gift and since they're so easy to do you can have a few on hand for just in case. the Simply Scrappin' have enough paper and stickers that you can make three or four sets out of one kit. Sam did one like this last year and I had to showcase it!

Green Theme Card Swap

So here's the card I'm playing with for the "green" theme card swap at Sam's. I'm using Kiwi Kiss paper, ink and ribbon. It's a work in progress but you get the idea ...

Box of Cards

Here is a box of cards I put together for my mom to give as a birthday gift to her mother-in-law. I used the Big Shot to die cut the Top Note for the wrap around to keep the box closed. I used the three heart punch for the hearts cut out of the Candy Cane DSP. The cards inside were a combination of styles from the card kits that Stampin' Up sells. They were super easy to put together. I added a little extra to personalize the cards for Grandma Fran so that they would be specific birthday and thank you cards.

Open House Projects

Here are the two contributions I made to the open house ... The card is made with the Simply Said stamp set and Sage Shadow paper and ribbon. Sage Shadow is currently my favorite color so look for lots of stuff with this color. The candy bag uses the Top Note die for the Big Shot and the Candy Cane DSP. The adorable hearts were punched with the 3-Heart punch and the stamp set used was Love You Much. Super easy ...

Calendar Updates

So Sam sent out the new calendar of events for February and I'm totally excited. Should be cute stuff. I'm really psyched for the STUC because I can't wait to make that completely adorable page that's on her blog. We held the open house on Saturday and had a lot of fun. If I had taken pictures of the projects I'd happily post them here but I didn't so I will have to do that later today!

Is it Friday yet??? ....

It's only Tuesday and it seems like it should be the end of the week. Why do I have to make things so complicated? I'm getting excited about Saturday because of the new catalog open house. I didn't stamp a thing all weekend and now I am pushing myself to get ready for Saturday but trust and believe we will have some fun projects to make! Hope to see you there.

The Big Shot is here!

So I took the Big Shot out of the box ... actually, I took it over to Samantha's last night and she took it out of the box ... and here is what she made with it. I gave this card to my friend Heidi yesterday for her very special occasion and she loved it. We will be using the Big Shot at the open house on the 31st to handmake a cute card and another special but simple project. Contact me to schedule your party where you can make some fun stuff with the new machine and earn lots of free stuff at the same time!!!

TGITuesday!

So I spent the weekend in Glamis trying to have fun but I was soooo stinkin' sick all weekend that it was hard. I would have been much happier staying home and sitting at my desk in my closet scrapping my Hawaii pictures, going to the Love Shack at Samantha's and card swapping on Saturday with the girls. I cannot wait to get to Sam's to pick up the cards that were created. I ordered the Big Shot from Stampin' Up! and it was delivered today and I can't wait to get it out of the box and start creating!!! I'll be sure to post a picture of the first project hot off the presses when it's done!

Samples

A couple of the cards I've made using Stampin' Up products. The Valentine's card was from last year's card swap... award winning of course!

Hearts A Lot- Swap a lot

Here is the card that I am making for my friend Samantha's card swap on Sunday. There are 6 of us girls that get together once a month to make each other's cards.

Card uses: Love You Much stamp set, riding hood red paper, pretty in pink paper, and the DSP that goes with the Love You Much bundle/set, scallop punch and new three heart punch.

Love Shack Baby!

Here's the project that Sam did for the January paper craft idea. Stay tuned for the adorable PARTY sign we'll make next month!

V-Day Cards

I've been brainstorming new card ideas for Valentine's Day - my most favoritest holiday to stamp - and I find myself completely blocked. Afterall, how do I top the adorable card from last year's V-Day themed card swap at Samantha's house??? (as soon as I figure out how to post pictures on my blog I'll put it up.) Seeing the cards we're making at the Staying Sweet club inspires me. I'm planning to hold up in my apartment on Friday night to knock something out.

And we're back ...

Vacation is over and now it's time to return to reality. My true love is creating and it is very good and effective therapy. I'm back to scrapping in the closet and trying to make time to get caught up. I'm still working on scrapping my Hawaii pictures (that trip was in April last year) and I'd like to get some pics of those pages done. I have to catch up to my BFF Melissa who's gotten at least 10 pages done since she got her scrapbook table put together!
